Britcar into the Night race, Brands Hatch, Kent, 15 November 2008

 Focus-F1 Photography takes another venture into evening photography with a first visit to legendary Brands Hatch in Kent, with new equipment and a whole lot to learn!

For the first time in my development as a motorsport photographer I was able to use a professional standard SLR camera, having recently purchased a Canon EOS 30D. Early results were somewhat disappointing with rather dull colours and generally bad shots. However a bit of tinkering and several shots later I was matching photos takenr ecently with my Fuji S560-something I didn't think would happen so soon.

 As for the event itself it was great to finally visit Brands Hatch-and the near 3 hour drive was worth it! What a circuit. More ups and downs than the current global economic situation, and great viewing for all spectators. It's a great place to get good photos. And of course once again I got to see some fantastic racing at night. I think I'm getting hooked!
